Berger Blanc, White Swiss, Polar Bear, FCI Registererd ?

 

​Whe have been breeding for over 30 years Black and Red West German Show Lines years. 4 years ago a SV Judge approached me and asked if I have looked into the Berger Blanc Suisse Shepherds, White Swiss Shepherds . I answered no and and he explained to me about the breed. I asked if they are like the American White Shephepherds I know about over the years. No they are not. I asked my importer in Hungary to find me a good breeder and he did and I imported 4 puppies to see the difference between the breeds in regards to my show lines. All my veternarian said was "WOW" when he examined them.  He said their conformation is outstanding, and the cardiovascular is that of an "Athlete ". And my friends, that they are! They can jump like a POGO stick and run like the wind. They have a "nose" on them that is truly amazing. I find alot of my puppy families especially with children have an easier time handling this breed, the White Shepherd, Berger Blanc Suisse, Polar Bear Shepherd whatever the terminology.

Let us talk FCI, UKC and AKC.

I want to start off by saying the AKC and UKC and FCI and AWSA are Clubs. The FCI has the breed standard for the Berger Blanc Suisse, White Swiss, Polar Bear Shepherds. The AKC does not recognize them as a breed. The USA does not recognize the FCI as a club. The AKC will register whites as a German Shepherd color white. The Berger Blanc Suisse Shepherd, White Swiss Shepherds are not registered in the USA except for the UKC. The only kennel club that can register Berger Blanc Suisse or White Swiss is the Kennel Club of Puerto Rico. If you register your pup through them you can then register them through the FCI. If your breeder breeds FCI registered dogs as I do, I do not register pups through FCI, the registration through FCI is needed if you will show your pup Internationally, if you want to show your Bereger Blanc Suisse , White Shepherd in the USA, UKC and AWSA Clubs are the way to go. If you would like a pup imported you will receive FCI papers. If a female is pregnant and brought to the USA the litter will be registered through the club of that country and the buyer can decide which club if any they wish to belong to.
